- I have been Using this PC since over 4 years with Original Windows 7 Ultimate Bone.
- Afterward Microsoft Introduced Windows 10 , Automatically the organization was asking to Upgrade & it also checked the System other environments including diverse Softwares in this PC , the Windows 10 compatibility Checking displayed All is OK except Monitor which is non touch screen (Not required as per Windows 10 requirements ) . Rest No conflicts shown at all.
- I delayed by rescheduling at least by v months the Installation/ Upgrading to Windows x . Simply This calendar week I did finally upgraded the Windows Bone later on checking with few friend'south installations .
- Now all other functions ,components accessories work except my HP Scanjet G3010 which was working very well with Windows & ultimate ^four bit. both Flatbed Scanning & Film Negative ( known as TMA adaptor) scanning with all Desktop Icons for all software including the Scanner Icons.
- After Upgrading to Windows ten ( 64 Bit) All icons pertinent to Scanner operation vanished from Desktop and On Devices & Printers I could see the Scanner Icon.
- Simply I cannot operate information technology from the desktop as all Desktop shortcuts for the scanner is vanished. And so after checking with MicroSoft Community Questions & replies I removed all Scanner related Software from the organisation, Then Reinstalled form HP Site support all Software including latest Drivers for the scanner.
- Once again after reinstalling (did complete arrangement cleaning including registry cleaning prior to Reinstalling) too again problems remained aforementioned with no desktop or Program run carte ..listing.
- Nonetheless I did attempt the scanner via device & printers & Only Could exercise Flatbed Scanning
Attaching all 3 steps Pictures done for scanning via Device & printers . Only Flatbed scanning possible Non Film Adaptor scanning, fifty-fifty though Drop down arrow displayed ( come across Pict iii)
I contacted HP Support and the informed all is fine with the scanner & drivers etc ... Hence finally I approached yous.
Please give me solution to enable me to utilise the scanner.All others are working fine. See Attached for System Infn & Screen Shots

1. Click on Search bar.
2. Then type "Windows Fax and Browse" without the quotes in the search bar and click on it.

Sorry the problem remains same .
See screenshots 2-1, 2-two , 2-three
Over again you will notice just Flatbed Option only available in the drop down list with this - Windows Fax and scan method as like earlier time. Whereas the HP Scanjet G3010 is for both flatbed & film ( TMA adaptor) scanning which was working fantastic with Windows 7 Ultimate till 3 days back , that is before upgraded to Windows 10 ..
Really sad. Don't tell me to buy new scanner compatible with Windows x Os.
Existence Biggie can MicroSoft not become in bear on with HP to find a solution?

I propose you to uninstall the HP Scanjet G3010 Photo Scanner from the Device Manager and so try to reinstall the scanner commuter in compatibility mode. Check if it helps.
Step 1: Try to download the Scanner driver from the HP website.

Pace two: I suggest you to uninstall the HP Scanjet G3010 Photo Scanner driver from the Device Manager.
one. Press Windows Key + R Key .
2. And so type " devmgmt.msc " without the quotes and hit on Enter Cardinal .

iv. Correct click on the Scanner driver and click on Uninstall.
5. Then follow the instruction to uninstall the driver.

1. Correct-click on the driver setup file and click on 'Properties''.
2. Click on the 'Compatibility' tab and check the box 'Run this program in compatibility mode for' and select Windows 8/8.1 operating organization from the drop downward menu and proceed with the installation. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.

Am sorry to say that all the steps you lot have now prescribed have elsewhere in Community given and I tried not once but more than 3 times doing the aforementioned. Even today morning I did the aforementioned procedures of Uninstalling reinstalling the HP Scanjet G3010 Drivers & softwares . Still it is the same problem persists.
Propose me some ting New which is not available in either Microsoft community or in HP Service support Forum.
Am sorry none of the higher up you suggested have worked including compatibility mode installation.
I once more repeat , request to try to discuss with HP and ind a solution Am lamentable This statement does not underestimate your individual capability only My trouble exists after upgrading to Windows 10 Os only Not with Windows 7 Ultimate

The Driver you suggested from HP link is merely a Bones Characteristic Commuter that likewise dated 11 Dec 2009.
Also the Drivers from HP for Windows 7 (64 Chip) is having total Installation Software and dated
15 Nov 2012 which I installed & used with Windows 7 Bone ( 64 Chip) in the same PC.

- Have you checked whether HPScanjet G3010 scanner is compatible for Windows 10 or not? - Before Windows 10 Downloading information technology automatically checked the entire System & a display was there saying " Everything OK Including Hardware ( recall the Scanjet M 3010 was already installed with Windows & & was working fine since over 3 years) & Software that are in my PC. Then just I allowed, rather scheduled to exist downloaded & installed it equally the due engagement for free upgrading was nearing. And so the question of Non compatible software & Hardware does not arise.
- When you say that "including compatibility manner installation", have you tried to reinstall Windows 7 commuter compatibility mode? - Yes I tried first time itself after windows 10 Upgradation , checked with HP site , then Windows site & to be on safer side I started re-installing with WIndows 7 Compatible mode only. Just Scanjet G 3010 was required as it did not work dissimilar other printer (Hp Laserjet 1020) or even my Canon Camera , other Softwares & they all are woking fine with no installation demand.
Every bit far iii rd Party Softwares am aware & i have checked them besides They are 1. VueScan nine & 2 . EMC
Both are to be purchased non costless. I don't even apply whatever free Software except from Hardware manufacturers.
My contention is When the scanner was working perfectly with WIndows 7 over last iii years, By upgrading to Windows ten why should be made to buy extra software which neither HP nor MicroSoft guarantees. As well Is it not duty of Bone maker ( mIcrosoft ) to brand uniform drivers when you have decided no more support for Windows 7 . That is scarry.
Delight requite me a solution rather than asking me to Purchase a 3rd party software which you can non guarantee. I over again asking yous to kindly escalate this outcome with HP and give us solution.
By this MicroSoft is putting me like customers in Big Trouble apathy.
